The South-East Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (SECCIMA) says it has concluded plans to launch a manual that will practically enhance productivity, profit and time management among business people and professionals.
Speaking to newsmen on Sunday in Enugu, Director-General of SECCIMA, Mr. Nduka Awuregu, said that the manual titled: “Productivity Development” would enable greater achievements in income, turnover and prosperity for entrepreneurs, public servants, students, leaders, scholars etc.
According to Awuregu, the practical manual contains an easy to read and follow-up schedule that ensures daily achievement meant to increase the overall productivity, profitability and success of individuals, businesses and corporate entities and government.
He noted that the manual would be launched at the forthcoming International Business and Leadership Summit with the theme: “Productivity Development in the New Normal”.
Awuregu, who is also the Director-General of Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA), said that the summit would be held on Saturday, March 19, at Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu.
“In general, the manual – Productivity Development – and the summit will ensure an increase in corporate turnover, reduction in waste of time and resources, expansion in personal results and more achievements,” he said.
Contributing, Vice Chancellor of Godfrey Okoye University, Prof. Christian Anieke, noted that there would always be insufficient time for one to do everything he or she ought to do daily.
“That is why we need a practical manual and guide such as this timely book – Productivity Development – to help us manage time and resources so well,” Anieke said.
According to him, the aim is to enable us to handle our time management complications by becoming more productive.
He noted: “No matter how many personal productivity techniques you master, there will always be more to do than you can ever accomplish in the time you have available for you.
“Therefore, to be more productive and achieve greater results, you simply need to have this book (manual) and enroll into the course.
“This quality work (manual) by Nduka Awuregu, Director-General of SECCIMA, spanned from his several years of studies and personal development in the fields of entrepreneurship, time management, production technology, personal and corporate efficiency cum effectiveness”.
Those expected at the summit includes: Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, Dr Godwin Emefiele as Keynote Speaker; Dr. Uchechukwu Ogah, Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development as Chairman among other eminent captains of industries and the academia.
