Scene of the explosion
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, yesterday visited the scene of the explosion that occurred along Aba Road by Court Road, opposite a private school at Sabon Gari area of Kano, the Kano state capital.
A statement by the Kano State Government said it was a gas cylinder explosion as opposed to speculations linking the explosion to a terrorist attack.
Meanwhile, The death toll from that explosion according to a statement by the Kano State Government has risen to nine, though unconfirmed reports put the figure at more than nine.
