Atiku Abubakar: “I will unify the country”
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has won the presidential ticket of the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP), to become the party’s presidential flag bearer in the 2023 general elections.
Announcing the results, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, and former Senate President, Senator David Mark, stated that Atiku Abubaka, polled 371 votes to defeat his closest rival Governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike, who scored 237 votes.
Senator Anyim Pius Anyim polled 14 votes, Chief Ohuabunwa 1 vote, Governor Udom Emmanuel 38 votes, Senator Bala Mohammed 20 votes, while Senator Bukola Saraki scored 70 votes.
