A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has granted former governor of Imo state, Senator Rochas Okorocha, bail in the sum of 500 million naira and one surety in like sum in the N2.9 billion fraud case brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Presiding judge, Justice Inyang Ekwo, also ordered that Senator Okorocha should deposit his international passport with the registry of the court, and should not travel outside the jurisdiction of the court without the court’s permission.
The court further ordered that he should remain in the custody of until his bail conditions are met.
