Dr. Mbah

Former gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu state, Hon. Barrister Nwabueze Ugwu, has assured the governorship candidate of the party Dr. Barrister Peter Mbah, that the people of Nkanu West Local Government Area would vote massively for him during the 2023 general elections.

This is just as he disclosed the reason why several PDP gubernatorial aspirants in the state gave the nod to Dr. Mbah to become the party’s flag bearer.

Hon. Ugwu, former member of Enugu state House of Assembly, gave the assurance when Dr. Mbah and his entourage came on a thank-you-visit in the area.

SummitNews recalls that Dr. Mbah, an oil magnate, emerged victorious during the Enugu state PDP governorship primary election held on May 25, 2022 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu, the state capital.

Hon. Ugwu, alongside several other governorship aspirants had stepped down for Dr. Mbah, a former chief of staff and later commissioner for finance during the administration of Chimaroke Nnamani, a medical doctor-turned politician.

Addressing the mammoth crowd who turned out to welcome the PDP governorship candidate at  the headquarters of Nkanu West Local Government Area, Agbani, Hon. Ugwu disclosed that two other governorship aspirants from the area Prof. Jehu Nnaji and Dr. Chukwudi Nneji,  traveled overseas, and therefore, were unable to be part of the occasion.
