Former Secretary to the Enugu State Government (SSG) Dr. Dan Shere, and former House of Representatives member Ogbuefi Ozomgbachi, have been appointed to lead the Zonal campaigns of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu state in both the North and South Senatorial Zones respectively ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Both have been named Deputy Directors for Enugu North, Enugu West Zones, while Hon. Deacon Okey Ogbodo, takes charge as Deputy Director Enugu East.
This was disclosed to newsmen by the Director-General, State PD/Peter Mbah Campaign Organization, Chief Ikeje Asogwa, at a press briefing in Enugu.
Asogwa who rolled out the list of the State Campaign Council disclosed that 1795 persons were appointed as members to run the 2023 campaigns.
He said the council is expected to plan and manage the campaign of the party at all levels in the state.
Asogwa heads the Campaign Council, while a former Commissioner, Dr. Eric Oluedo, doubles as Secretary-General for both the guber campaign organisation and the Council, with Rita Mba, coordinating the women.
Kingsley Udeh, and Onyekachi Ugwu, are heading the mainstream media and new media committees respectively, while Chief Nana Ogbodo, will work as the public communications and campaign spokesperson.
Asogwa also disclosed that the local government campaign council for the 17 local government areas were also constituted.
