It has now been confirmed that the President- General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Professor George Obiozor, is dead.
Speculations were rife yesterdary about the passing on of the erudite scholar, administrator and statesman. but no one could confirm his death.
However, a source close to Ohanaeze leadership told SummitNews today in a telephone interview that Prof. Obiozor died on Monday, December 26 in Lagos, after returning from a medical trip abroad.
The source who spoke on condition of anonymity, however, could not disclose the source of death.
He said the family of the deceased will officially annnounce the death of the Ohanaeze leader, saying that the apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation would not annouce Obiozor’s death until his family makes the announcement.
“I will give you further information regarding the last days of Prof Obiozor as soon as his family officially announces his demise,’ the source said.
