As Rivers people await May 29th for the swearing-in of their governor elected on the 18th March governorship and state House of Assembly election, one of the foremost taders’ unions in Rivers State, Garden City Building Materials Dealers Association congratulated Amaopu Senebo, Sir. Joesph Siminilaye Fubara on his election as the next governor of Rivers State.
In press release signed by Comrade (Amb) Calistus Nnadika Chairman, Comrade Amarachukwu Asii Secretary and Prince Chinedu Ofoegbu, Public Relations Officer of the association read thus; “The Chairman and the entire members of Garden City Building Material Dealers Association, Port Harcourt wish to congratulate the Governor-Elect Sir. Siminilaye Fubara on his landslide victory in the March 18th Governorship and State House of Assembly Elections. We are not surprised at your victory looking at your towering credentials and track record”.
The association further recalled that they are probably the only Trader’s Union in Port Harcourt that felicitated with Rivers state government during the COVID-19 pandemic as they donated food items to Rivers State government.
“It has been in our culture to work with Rivers state government, not just payment of taxes and revenues but we have also be part of any government’s programmes in the state, as we are and probably the only Trader’s Union in the Rivers State to donate to Rivers state government during the lockdown of COVID-19.
“We thank his Excellency, the Dean of quality Projects in Nigeria, Chief Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike and indeed the PDP family for finding you worthy to fly the flag of the Party leading to this victory”
The statement extended the association’s congratulatory massage to House member representing their constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly. Hon. Azeru Opara, the statement thanked their members coming out to vote for PDP candidates in all the election.
“We also congratulate Hon Azeru Opara for emerging victorious as House Assembly member representing Port Harcourt Constituency 3 for his well deserved victory. Our Union is wishing him a resounding success as he consolidates on NEW Vision Agenda of his Excellency Chief Barr Ezenwo Nyeso Wike, we will not fail to thank our members for turning out in mass to vote for all the PDP Candidates as our executive directed”. The statement concluded.
