 Idu community leaders in the spirit of Muslim Festival
The Idu community in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, has urged the federal government to provide more social amenities in the area to enable the people live a better life as well as feel the impact of being part of the FCT.
The community which is host to Idu Industrial Area, Abuja, spoke to our Correspondent through their leaders – the District Head of Idu, HRH Ishiaku Inrahim, the Viilage Head of Idu, Chief Muhammad Bawa Makama and the District Head of Idu Sakada, HRH Isyaku Sarki Musa, during this year’s Eid el-Fitr celebration.
The Idu District Head, Alhaji Ishiaku Ibrahim thanked the federal government for providing roads in his district, but, however, urged the government to provide more roads and other amenities in the district.
He prayed God for peaceful celebration in his domain and urged for harmonious coexistence among the people.
The Idu Village Head, Chief Muhammad Bawa Makama, also commended the government for providing roads as well as ensuring regular supply of electricity in his community.
He, however, requested the government to allocate land to investors to site projects in the area for the benefit of the community.
He commended members of the community for the peace that had existed in the area, and advised them continue to show love to one another, adding that with total adherence to the will of Allah, they stand the chance of finding favor from Him.
The Hakimi Sakada, Isyaku Sarki Musa, said the feast was an occasion to promote peace and love; visit friends, worship and praise Allah.
The yearly celebration was exceptionally marked in line with Islamic injunctions in the various districts and villages.
