Niger State Governor Rt. Hon. Muhammed Umaru Bago, has sympathized with the Chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers and Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, and the people of Bida Emirate over the death of Kuta of Kin Kedde also known as Kuta Muregi, Alhaji Mohammad Abubakar Muregi.
Gov Bago in a condolence message by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Bologi Ibrahim, said the deceased was known for promoting harmonious coexistence among his subjects, adding that he made an immense contribution to the growth and development of his domain.
He said, “his death has created a huge vacuum, but we remain resolute in God that He will raise someone to fill the gap”.
The governor extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased and prayed to God to comfort them, the people of kin Kedde and the entire Bida Emirate.
He also prayed to God to grant the deceased Aljanna Firdausi.
Late Mohammad Abubakar Muregi who was appointed Kuta Muregi by the Etsu Nupe in 2004, was a retired seasoned educationist.
He contributed his quota to the education sector of the state by serving in several capacities in old Lavun and Mokwa local government councils.
Late Abubakar Muregi was born on June 12, 1940, and was highly respected not only among the people of Bida Emirate but the entire state.
He left behind two wives, 27 children, many grand and great grandchildren.
