The alarming rate of restiveness, crime, teenage prostitution, youth delinquency and moral decadence in our society must be a serious concern to socially-minded individuals, organizations or government at various levels.
It is on the above premise that Mumagee Foundation in conjunction with Mumagee Empire Global Limited, is organizing African talent pool tagged “Rivers Got Talent.”
The convener and organizer of the programme, veteran musician and Nollywood Actress, High Chief Gift-Eke, popularly known as Mumagee had a media parley with members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Rivers State Council at the council’s conference hall on Moscow Road, Port Harcourt.
The maiden edition of the media parley on African talent pool is a well-thought-out strategic medium to use the art form to shoot out insurgency, terrorism and negative situations African youths found ourselves.
Mumagee said that the programme is going to be in place from 12 to 16 countries of the world and it covers Nigerians and African women in diaspora, stressed that global village of the foundation starts in Rivers state where they will engage the vast communities.
She said that the programme was aimed at encouraging the youths and girl-child to unlock the situation they found themselves and tap the potentials of youths through mentorship by her organization.
Through this programme Mumagee said the future holds great things for the Rivers youths, adding that by the grace of God the partnership with the Press will add good values for the youths.
The programme the Socialite added will take care of the inadequacy of some parents, churches and multinational companies who don’t implement their corporate social responsibilities to their host communities unless a problem arises.
The local form of the programme, which according to her is called “Rivers Got Talent” is for the youths, women and the girl-child empowerment.
Mumagee posited further that the immediate past administration in Rivers State concentrated on infrastructural development, but urged Gov. Fubara toinvest in human capital development of the youths in the state.
The Ekpeye High Chief said that African Talent Pool is geared towards making 52 children or youths from each of the 23 local government areas of Rivers State self- sustaining.

Speaking at the event, Stanley Job Stanley, chairman Rivers state council of the NUJ congratulated her for the vision in prospering Nigerian youths through arts and skills mentorships, and promised that Journalists in the state will partner with her project.
“We are happy to identify with you and your project. Anytime you have need to organize any programme our hall is free for you.
“I commend my colleagues for coming in large numbers for your programme, and I can assure that your message has gone all over the globe.

.“When you have press people as your partner you automatically have the whole world at your disposal because if the press people are not here whatever you did begins and ends here,” Stanley Job reiterated.
The media parley featured interactive, question and answer sessions from the cream of Journalists present.
