The Enugu State High Court, presided over by Justice A.O Onovo, has dismissed a suit brought by the late Chief (Dr) Debe Odumegwu Ojukwu against Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu, widow of the late Biafra leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu.
Chief Debe had challenged the authenticity of Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu’s will, claiming he was the first son and should have been included in the will. However, the court ruled that there was insufficient evidence to prove his claim of being acknowledged by the late Ojukwu as his son.
Furthermore, the court confirmed the validity of the late Ojukwu’s will, dismissing claims of tampering and declaring that the will was properly made.
This judgement highlights the importance of strong evidence in legal cases and upholding the integrity of legal documents.
