2027: Anyim hails Nwifuru for peaceful APC primaries. -From- Paulinus Ogbonna

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ivo State Constituency in the 2027 Ebonyi State House of Assembly election, Mr Chisom Anyim, has commended Gov. Francis Nwifuru for ensuring a peaceful and transparent conduct of the party’s primaries across the state.

Anyim, son of former President of the Senate and also ex-Secretary to the Federal Government emerged as the APC consensus candidate for the constituency.

He described the exercise as one of the most credible and rancour-free primaries witnessed in recent times in Ebonyi.

The commendation is contained in press statement issued on Friday in Abakaliki and made available to journalists.

He said that the orderly conduct of the primaries reflected the governor’s commitment to internal democracy, party unity and inclusive leadership.

“I sincerely appreciate President Bola Tinubu for his purposeful leadership and unwavering commitment to strengthening democracy in Nigeria.

“I am equally grateful to Gov. Francis Nwifuru for providing a level playing field and ensuring peaceful primaries across Ebonyi,” Chisom said.

The youthful politician also expressed appreciation to party stakeholders and residents of Ivo Local Government Area for the confidence reposed in him.

According to him, his emergence represents a call to greater service, humility and dedication to the welfare of the people.

“This mandate is not for me alone; it is for every youth, every woman and every family that believes in a better future for our constituency,” he added.

Anyim pledged to pursue an issue-based campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections and promised to prioritise people-oriented legislation and grassroots development if elected.

He identified youth empowerment, quality education, agriculture, healthcare, infrastructure development and job creation as key areas of focus in his legislative agenda.

“I am going to the Ebonyi State House of Assembly to be the true voice of the people.

“I will sponsor bills and motions that will positively impact our communities and attract meaningful development projects to every part of Ivo Constituency,” he said.

The candidate further assured constituents of accessible and accountable representation, stressing that leadership should be anchored on service and responsiveness to the needs of the people.

“My office will always remain open to the aspirations and concerns of our constituents,” he said.

Anyim also pledged support for Gov. Nwifuru’s development programmes in Ebonyi and President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda at the national level.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Ivo Local Government Area, Chief Emmanuel Aja and a cross-section of APC stakeholders in separate statements expressed confidence in Anyim’s ability to deliver effective representation at the state assembly.

They described him as energetic, visionary and prepared for the task ahead, noting that his emergence had further strengthened the party’s chances in the forthcoming election.
