The festival of Eid-El-Kabir essentially is a festival ordained by Almighty Allah to showcase mankind’s pristine faith of His servant, Prophet Ibrahim and his first son Prophet Ismili had in Him.

The sacrifice for Prophet Ibrahim of slaughtering his son Ishmael and God provided a Ram in place of the son instead vindicates God’s love for mankind.

The lesson which Allah wants human beings to imbibe is why He has ordained the festival is to mankind, the faith which Prophet Abraham and his son have showcased; that is the type of unquestioning faith Allah needs from you mankind.

In a chat with Journalist during the Eld El Kabir festival in Port Harcourt, Alhaji Nasir Awhelebe Uhor, the Islamic leader in Rivers state admonished Moslem faithfuls to emulate the virtues of faith and obedience to Allah as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim and his only son Ismili he said “Allah ordered Abraham to slaughter his only son as a sacrifice to Him. Ibrahim worked up to him and said this is the dream I had, God said I should sacrifice you to him, and the son said if that is what Allah said go ahead and do it. The father and the son without hesitation they went out for the sacrifice”.

Alhaji Uhor who is also the vice President General, Rivers State Council for Islamic Affairs pointed out that the season of Salla is to remind Moslem faithfuls to have sublime faith in the Almighty Allah to attract his blessings in the life humans.

In his Salla message as it concerns the hash economic condition Nigeria’s facing presently, Alhaji Uhor who is also is the chairman association of South South Moslem Umar of Nigeria said “In the present condition of mankind in Nigeria, to us the economy is hash, to Prophet Ibrahim what was hash was not the economy but the prospect of dying without a child. It was as hash to him as our economy is to us today. In either fate you are to invest pristine in Allah, that this situation Allah will turn it around”

The veteran Journalist posited further that Nigerians should not lament on the economy hardship and the insecurity situation but to turn to Allah for cleansing.

“Its not enough for us to cry about economic hardship and insecurity, its for us to do something about them. How do you do it? First cleanse yourself. Let us as an individuals and organizations distance ourselves from evils, both spiritual and physical and must be done within the obedience of Allah. Moslems should retrace their steps back to Prophet Ibrahim. Allah said serve me like Prophet Ibrahim and his son served me with total obedience”.

“This country is in this shape because Moslems and Christians do not showcase their calling, they have unadulterated law book and literature of God, the Holy Korean and the Holy Bible they should utilize” Alhaji Uhor concluded.
