Recipients of the sporting tracksuits
Football Referees in Rivers state have been charged to be exemplary in their officiating and make the state proud while discharging their duties in the field of play.
Speaking during the official presentation of Tracksuits he donated to all the NNL, NWL and NLO referees of the Rivers State Football Referees’ Council at Yakubu Gowan Stadium Elikahia Port; Ambassador Egwurugwu Dominion Loveday, the Chief Executive Officer of Dominion Sports Club, Port Harcourt said “I charge those that are receiving the Tracksuits; you should go and represent us very well and make Rivers state proud through your officiating in the field of play”
Amb. Egwurugwu Loveday Dominion while thanking the chairman of Rivers state football Referees’ Council Mr. Charles Dennis Dima for finding him worthy to donate the sporting Tracksuits to football Referees in Rivers state, further promised more donations of sports incentives to the council if called upon.
“I thanked the former Chairman of Ex-Professionals Football Club, the chairman of Rivers state football Referees’ Council, Mr. Dennis Charles Dima who called upon me to donate the Tracksuits to Rivers State Football Referees’ Council members, I promise any other time he found my worthy for this kind of support, he should call me, I am readily available, I will not hesitate when he seeks for my support, because I love the growth of football Referees. And in subsequent time, God will also help me to see how I can donate footwear for you people so that you will look clean”. Amb. Egwurugwu stressed
Ambassador Apostle Dabo Ere Dokubo, presenting the tracksuits to one of the recipients.
The amiable club manager and soccer enthusiasts said his interest in facilitating sound officiating is because he wants to encourage the growth of football in Nigeria.
“I do all this with out sentiments, no favour I expect in returns. It’s basically for the growth of Refereeing in Nigeria, because I love football” Amb. Egwurugwu reiterated.
He acknowledged the presence of South-South zone national elders of Nigeria Football Referees’ Association ,Apostle Dabo Ere Dokubo whom he said is his mentor in football coaching and management.
“Finally, I want to thank my father in sports, Dokubo Dabo Ere, the Technical Manger, Mighty Jets Football club of Jos, Plateau state, because I leant a lot from him. He impacted a lot of knowledge in us when he was our Coach”. The CEO Dominion Sports Club concluded

Expressing the minds of the Rivers state Football Referees’ Council, the chairman Mr. Charles Dennis Dima said “We thank the CEO of Dominion Sport Club for this gesture, we appreciate you. On behalf of the Rivers state football Referees’ Council, we can’t thanks you enough. Words are inadequate to express our profound gratitude to you. You are always there for us and you have promised to donate clean footwear to us again. We thank you immensely”
In his thank you speech, Apostle Dabo Ere Dokubo the South-South zonal elder of Nigeria Football Referees’ Association (NFRA) thanked the donor for his Philanthropic gestures and admonished him to keep up.
Speaking on behalf of the recipients, Frank Chioduye stressed that the Tracksuits after wearing it, the beauty couldn’t permit them to recognize themselves any longer, adding that the Almighty God shall give the donor sound health, and replenish his pocket in million folds.
