Fulani Group vows to sensitize, fish out bad eggs among pastoral list – From Bala Yahaya/Minna

THE leadership of Mi-Yetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), has vowed to sensitize and fish out bad eggs among the pastoral list engaged in the use of illicit drugs, proliferation of small arms and light weapons within their communities.

National President of the Association, Baba Othman Ngalzarman, who gave the assurance while interacting with journalist’s in Paikoro Local Government Area of Niger State over the weekend noted that as leaders and parents, all hands must be on deck to sensitize their youths against all forms of crime and criminality bedeviling the country.

While appreciating the efforts of Military and other security agencies towards protecting lives and property of the citizens, he also appealed to them to always observe the rules of engagement in the discharge of their onerous duty of safe guarding the citizens.

Ngalzarman described as alarming the rate at which the Military and Vigilantes conduct their operations in some states leading to killing of cows, citing the recent bombing in Giwa community of Nasarawa state.

His words: “We are mostly affected by the activities of banditry and cattle rustling.  During the period under review, no fewer than 4 million cows were rustled”.

On the food crisis rocking the country, MACBAN President expressed the concern of his association over the suffering in the land, saying that the association has established a business arm that will interface with critical stakeholders especially traders from major  markets in the country in the bid to complement federal government efforts towards curtailing the food crisis across the country.
