All is now set for a grassroots soccer tournament,tagged ‘Back To School’ and slated for 19th April,2024 at Bori camp in Port Harcourt,the Rivers State capital, Nigeria.
Speaking to Sports Journalists in Port Harcourt,the Organizer and CEO of Anaco Sport Academy,Mr Anayo Lawrence Kwazema said the tournament seeks to produce best athletes that will represent Anaco Sport Academy in faraway Spain.
According to Kwazema the football fiesta in Spain is scheduled to take place from 25th November to 22rd December,2024 and promises to be explosive.
The Anaco Boss who said he took advantage of an opportunity back home in Nigeria some years ago to travel to US as a Student-athlete, where he combined sports and education to achieve his current feat as Masters degree holder and renowned sports promoter.
Kwazema said “this is the same opportunity I want to extend to others at the grassroots,through the ‘Back To School football tournament’.
“I therefore urge young Nigerians to cash on the rare opportunity presented to them by the proposed soccer fiesta. We assure that successful ones shall be taken to Europe and exposed to bigger and international opportunities in sports and education,”he said.
He emphasized that Anaco Sport Academy is a non-profit making Organisation, but poised to alleviating the sufferings of young Nigerians, especially at the grassroots. Kwazema called on International Donors and the media to partner with his group of enhance the project.
The Anaco Sport Academy CEO further told journalists that there will be prize money at the end of the competition, with the first team carting away N200,000, the 2nd position he said will go home with N120,000 and the 3rd position N80,000.##
