Group pledges support for APC in Rivers State, vows to deliver party’s candidates in upcoming LG/Wards elections – From Chukwudi Ejimofor/Port Harcourt.

THE Non-Indigenes All Progressives Congress (APC) Forum, Rivers State, loyal to Senator Magnus Ngie Abe, has concluded plans to sensitize all non-indigenes ethnic nationalities in Rivers state to vote for candidates of APC in the forthcoming Local Government/ward elections in the state.

Speaking to Journalists at the sideline of the their stakeholders meeting in Port Harcourt, High Chief Joesph Ijedi, Chairman None-Indigenes APC Forum in Rivers State, loyal to Distinguished Senator Magnus Ngie Abe said “We held stakeholders meeting to enable us strategize for the coming elections in Rivers for APC. The outcome of meeting was that we are organizing our ethnic nationalities in order; the Yoruba, the Hausa, the Igbo, the South South and other ethnic nationalities for the electioneering campaign for coming elections for APC in Rivers State”.

“The meeting was brain storming one. At the end of the day we to resolved to support the Hon. Dr. Tony Okocha led APC Rivers State Caretaker Committee, Senator Magnus Abe and the FCT Minster Chief Barrister Nyesom Wike, CON DSSRS, Power of Sports Africa, Life Bencher and deliver Rivers State for All Progressive Congress (APC) in Rivers State. You know, None Indigenes are critical stakeholders in the state, some of us has spent all our life time in Rivers state, our families, relatives and our friends are part of us”.

Chief Ijedi have further expatiated on their avowed plans and arrangements to conquer all the local government and ward for All Progressive Congress (APC) in Rivers State.

“As the state executive we have appointed local governments and wards committee campaign committee members to make sure come any election in Rivers State, the results are work over for APC in Rivers state and everybody in Rivers will be singing APC and they will be victorious in all the elections”. Chief Ijedi exclaimed.

All speaking to Journalists to Journalists, Alhaji Sani Yerima, the chairman of Northern Alliance Committee Rivers State, an affiliate of None Indigenes APC Forum in Rivers loyal to Distinguished Senator Magnus Ngie, poured emcormion in the leadership of High Chief Joesph Ijedi the state chairman as the chairman of None-Indigenes APC Forum in Rivers state.

“Under the chairmanship of High Chief Joesph Ijedi Chairman None indigenes APC Forum Rivers held our meeting today. The meeting was very impressive, because I observed that Joesph Ijedi is working heard to bring ethnic nationalities in Rivers state together. He is doing perfectly well. We discussed on possible ways to campaign and win the coming elections in Rivers state with strategy today by the grace of Almighty Allah all the coming elections in Rivers State we shall achieve victory, all our goals will attained”.

On the specifics of their campaign strategy to electorate to vote for APC in the Rivers State Alhaji Yerima opined this; “What we are talking about is not about political party per say; we are talking about the leaders in the party. When we talking about Senator Magnus Abe for instance; he carries everybody along it doesn’t matter whom you are, he respect everyone. The same character with the caretaker chairman Chief Tony Okocha he is done well within his strength, you can’t have hundred percent of what you need from someone.

As Tony Okocha and our principal Distinguished Senator Magnus Abe whom we have been benefiting from before now; in fact we are paying him for what he did to us. As long as you are a Muslim in Rivers state he has contributed to your house. He brought out money when he was not in any position and help Muslim in our grave yard in Onnea to fence the grave yard, and he sunk Borehole for us, we should appreciate that. Same way with the Christians leader of None indigenes in Rivers state. If it appears we are the last people with him, we shall remain and stand with him”. Alhaji Yerima averred.

Cross section of stakeholders at the meeting

Hajiya Hafsat Abdulsalam the state Woman leader of the forum said also that the stakeholders meeting was a successful one; according to her women are the critical stakeholders in the forum the presence of women are key in the forum.

“You know in politics women a critical stakeholders. They have the reach to everybody; their husband, their children their wards and others. And you know whatsoever woman agrees to do, she does it perfectly well. So in the None Indigenes APC Forum Rivers State loyal to Distinguished Senator Magnus Abe, all the women has concluded plans to stand with him, because he has been doing wonderfully well” Hajiya Hafsat exclaimed.
