How Beta Edu Used And Dumped US, alleges Media Centre – From Abdullahi Alhassan/Kaduna

Beta Edu

THE Beta Edu Media Centre, has recommended the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of QAT Foundation, Hajiya Halimat Tejuosho Adenike, as replacement for the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management Dr. Beta Edu, saying the embattled minister used the staff of the media centre as propaganda tool.

In a statement signed by the 16 State Coordinators of the Media Centre including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, and made available to SummitNews in Kano on Saturday, the staff of the Media Centre, called on President Bola Tinubu, to appoint Hajiya Tejuosho as replacement for Beta Edu, with immediate effect.

SummitNews recalls that the federal government suspended Edu from office some months ago over alleged misapplication of public funds.

The staff of the Beta Edu Media Centre alleged that their boss made series of of promises to them without fulfilling any, noting that they were used as a tool for propaganda while she was in office without necessarily doing anything as widely reported.

The staff expressed shock over the rumored plan by the Tinubu-led administration to reinstate Edu, saying such an idea should not be contemplated .

They said that Hajiya Tejuosho Adejoke represents the interest of the youths and People Living With Disabilities (PLWDs) among other members of the society.

The image makers, reiterated that their support for Tejuosho is based on the ground that she is a philanthropist and and can be trusted following her outstanding interventions in the ministry, while Edu was just busy claiming the glory.

Parts of the statement, reads: “Betta Edu Media Center State Coordinators have embraced and endorsed a true humanitarian and leader that makes positive impacts in our lives and the society, compared to the suspended humanitarian Minister, Dr. Betta Edu.

“For the record, we did not serve Edu because of what we stand to get, even though it’s expected that we are properly taken care of by our principal. We served her based on the interest we have in the Nigeria project in line with the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

“Meanwhile, it’s pertinent that we let the Presidency, Nigerians and the world know that Beta Edu is one of the worst Ministers that the government of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu has produced considering her unreliable nature as a person.

“While Edu was in office, majority of her self acclaimed job was false as she continued to use propaganda to buy more time for herself. Her suspension came to us as a shock because we never imagined that such nemesis could catch up with her, soonest.

“We therefore wish to make our position known that we are no longer interested in working with Edu as we choose to embrace Halimat Tejuosho Adenike, who is a true humanitarian and philanthropist touching the lives of the masses with her hard earned resources.

“We therefore call on president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to appoint Hajiya Halimat Tejuosho Adenike as the new Minister for the Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management without further delay so that she can hit the ground running to alleviate the plights of the citizenry.”
