Clergyman Calls For Oneness In The Body Of Christ-From Chukwudi Ejimofor/Port Harcourt

THE Presiding Bishop of the Lord Shepherd of Jacob Cherubin And Seraphim Church Worldwide, Oro-owo, Rumueme Port Harcourt, Bishop Dr. Cockrene Udochukwu Ukpabi, has criticized the phenomenon of division, differences in the beliefs and the doctrines of Christian faithfuls.

In a special church service to celebrate his doctorate degree award from Morris Cerullo Christian University, Oklahoma, United States of America at The Lord Shepherd Jacob Cherubin and Seraphim Church Worldwide, Rumueme Port Harcourt, Rivers state, he said “My massage today is for the members of The Lord Shepherd of Jacob Cherubin and Seraphim and the world at large, and it’s taking from the book of Hebrew 5 vs 1-5 “Leaders are appointed by God not by man”.

“And every leader has to work for the benefit of God through Christ Jesus whom all glories will finally go to”.

Cross Section Of The Worshipers

Bishop Udochukwu charged Christian religious leaders to desist from division, discrimination and shun materialism, stressing that Jesus Christ did not preach division in beliefs while on earth.

“I am calling on Christians from other denominations to emulate our footsteps. Humans are in the this world not for materialism, but for that that will benefit the Almighty God, through Christ Jesus. We should shun materialism and move forward to achieve our goals as Christians; gathering everyone together irrespective of our Christian denomination or what we are in life. Jesus made this known to us that all these must come to be. Christ did not preach about separatism during his ministry on earth. In ever tendency I preach about oneness in Christ Jesus”.

While expressing the essence of the special church; the eloquent and vibrant gospel preacher emphasized the secret behind his influence in gospel of Jesus Christ and the rapid growth of his church.

The secret behind the growth of my ministry is God. The fundamental principle in my church is oneness; one in Christ Jesus, no matter the denomination you find yourself. We welcome everyone in our ministry provided you come through the name of Christ Jesus”.

Dr. Chukwu Alex C.C, of the Church of Christ Aladura, one of the special guest at the church service congratulated the Bishop for the academics prowess he has acquired and his efforts to advance the gospel to the higher echelons.

“Am here to celebrate with Dr. Cockrene for the Christian academics he attended from the Morris Cerullo Christian University Oklahoma, United States of America and his achievement in life; impacting the Christian knowledge to his immediate environment and to the whole world at large. This his achievement will enhance the growth of his ministry and Christian faith at large.”

Commenting on the topic of Bishop Cockrene’s sermon, Dr. Chukwu said “from the topic of his sermon here today which is oneness; it’s important that all Christian should understand that the God we worship is the God of all, the God that created the heaven and the earth and does not discriminate. Whatever denomination you find yourself, you are worshipping one God, one faith and one savior. Because all Christian a looking forward to make heaven, therefore as the Bible said we are helpers of one another. The massage is there for us to belief despite our different denominations, we have one God, and oneness in God”.

“We are here today for the celebration of our Dady for the award he attend in University Oklahoma United States of America. From Daddy’s sermon today we learnt that no church should condemn another church, there is no Pastor higher than the other that all the churches and pastors are equal in the presence of God. My advice for Christians is to hear his sermon and work toward that to know God more.” Mrs. Stella Onyeije concluded.
