The Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, has inaugurated the newly elected Executive Chairmen (Mayors) and their Deputies for the 17 Local Government Areas of Abia State at the Banquet Hall of the Abia State Government House. He was accompanied by his wife, the First Lady, Mrs. Priscilla Otti.
The Oath of Office and Allegiance was administered by Paul Ogubunka Esq., the State Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by notable figures, including the Secretary-General of Ohanaze Ndi Igbo, Ambassador Okey Emuchay (MFR), HRM Eze Nelson Nmerengwa, the second Deputy Chairman of the Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, the member representing Isialangwa North-South Federal Constituency, members of the Abia State House of Assembly led by the Deputy Speaker, the State Executive Council, high-profile government appointees, and Barrister Ken Ahia (SAN).
