The Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) has condoled with President Bola Tinubu and the Nigerian Military on the passage of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), late Lt-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja.
The Chairman of TSSNL, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, in a statement made available to newsmen on Friday in Warri expressed grief over the unfortunate incident.
Dr Tompolo who is also the
Ibe-Ebidouwei of Ijaw Nation acknowledged the contributions of the late General to the internal security of the country as well as external aggressions.
He said that Lagbaja’s support and cooperation in the security of oil and gas assets in the Niger Delta region would forever remained in the minds of the many, including the industry players.
“I condole with the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief Bola Tinubu, GCFR, the Nigerian Military, the Nigerian Army and the family of the Chief of Army Staff, late Lt.Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja.
“We are indeed touched in this sad story of the demised of our beloved General, who contributed so much to the security of the country and external aggressions.
“His support and cooperation in the security of oil and gas assets in the Niger Delta region is known to industry players and so many persons.
“We missed him. May the good Lord give President Bola Tinubu, GCFR, the Nigerian Military, the Nigerian Army and the family the strength and fortitude to bear the lost,” he said.
It will be recalls that the late General reportedly died on Nov. 5 after a brief period of illness at the age of 56.
He was appointed the COAS on June 19, 2023 by President Tinubu.
