At the caucus meeting of Rivers state APC Non indegenes forum held in Port Harcourt members unanimously pledged their loyalty and support to the Tony Okocha led APC in Rivers state.
Speaking to Journalists, High Chief Joesph Ijede, leader of Non indegenes All Progressives Congress (APC) Rivers State at the sidelines of their caucus meeting expressed satisfaction and hope that the emergence of Chief Tony Okocha and his state executive will attract victory for the party come 2027 election in Rivers state as he pledged their support and loyalty for the faction; this according to him guarantees APC victory in the state.
“We are so pleased with the results of congresses that led to the victory of Chief Tony Okocha as the state chairman of APC and his executive members. Non indegenes are very happy for their emergence. We pledge to support them and work together in unity so that we can deliver the state to APC come 2027 election.”
High Chief Ijede further advised the new executive at various levels to work harmoniously among themselves and carry the Non indegenes along to realize the desire goal of winning the 2027 election in Rivers state.
“We advise the new executive to work cooperatively amongst themselves, to see that they are able to move the party forward and also work in conjunction with Non indegenes in the state, so that we will collectively deliver APC come 2027 in Rivers state”.
Hon. Nike Momoh stakeholder one of the forum further unveiled some of the plans of non indegenes forum in Rivers state. According to her the successful congresses held is one of the articulations for the winning of APC come 2027 election in Rivers state.
“We took off well, we had our ward, local government and state congresses, and our leader Chief Tony Chidugam Okocha emerged as our state chairman. He is able leader, tested and trusted. We the non indegenes are fully in support of him, and we’re going to make sure we deliver APC in 2027 to Rivers State government house. Take not of what I am telling you today, you will testify what I am telling you”.
Meanwhile, as part of repositioning the APC Non indegenes forum in Rivers State. The caucus meeting inaugurated seven members adhoc committee to reconcile and reunite the aggrieved Non indegenes factions in Rivers state. The reconciliatory committee is headed by Hon. Babalola Adamuiyiwa
The committee’s teams of reference is to reconcile the aggrieved members, reunite the Non indegenes APC Rivers State as one entity, recommends executive positions for zones and local government areas.
In his acceptance speech, the chairman of the committee, Hon. Babalola Adamuiyiwa promised to be sincere to the APC Non indegenes in Rivers State, noting that the idea behind inaugurating the committee is primarily to deliver APC come 2027 election in Rivers state.
“I assure you that this committee is going to be sincere to Non indegenes in Rivers state, and I believe by the grace of God, we will succeed. Come 2027, APC is coming to take over the leadership of the state. And I believe the reason why we are doing this is to make peace, and everything go well towards uniting all the aggrieved factions in APC Non indegenes in Rivers state so that at the end of the day we shall deliver APC come 2027 in Rivers state”.
The nine man committee has Hon. Babalola Adamuiyiwa as Chairman and Azubuike Virginia as Secretary.
The committee was given two weeks to submit its report which is subject for the house ratification and approval.
The caucus meeting had in attendance prominent members amongst them were Chief Dr. O.Z Ubah, Alhaji Aliyu Yerima, Hon. Benson Nwachukwu, Mrs. Ngozi Obiefuna, Hon. Joy N. Ihonor, Engr. Rasheed Oknlawon and host of other.
