Copen Academy Celebrates NSQ Certification Graduates, Awards Best Female Artisan in the 2024 Construction Artisan – From Our Correspondent

 

THE Copen Academy on Tuesday, celebrated NSQ Certification Graduates and honoured the Best Female Artisan in the 2024 Construction Artisan with an Award.

Hosting its NSQ Certification Issuance and Award Ceremony, the Copen Academy, celebrated the successful completion of the ITF/NECA-sponsored Artisan Training Program with C-Stemp (Batch B).

The event saw 81 artisans receive their National Skills Qualification (NSQ) Level 1 Certification.

The event, which took place at Copen House, Plot 32, Ebeano Estate, included an award and prize given to the Best Female Artisan in Painting, Ms Nyia Precious Chisom, an Enugu State native, who was honoured with the 2024 Construction Artisan Award in Abuja.

In recognition of her outstanding achievement, Copen Group, on behalf of Copen Academy, awarded her a cash gift of ₦200,000 to encourage her continued excellence in the skilled trades.

The event was attended by distinguished dignitaries, including the Group Managing Director (GMD) of Copen Group, the Deputy Group Managing Director (DGMD), and training facilitators.

The event also provided a platform to reinforce the academy’s leadership in artisan training, inspiring future generations of skilled professionals. meaningful interactions between industry stakeholders, policymakers, and potential partners further established Copen Academy as a hub for gender-inclusive training and skilled trades development.

Speaking at the colourful event, Group Managing Director (GMD) of Copen Group, Surv. Dr Ugochukwu Chime, advised the graduated Artisans to be resilient in their careers, stressing that their destinies are in their hands.

“Copen Academy is an accredited skill training centre focused on blue-colar professions. By offering practical training in construction, agriculture, and ICT, the Academy empowers individuals to achieve economic independence.

“The Copen Academy remains dedicated to supporting Nigeria’s vocational workforce by promoting skilled trades and encouraging the next generation of artisans.

“Our trainees are job-ready, highly competent, and equipped for success in their chosen and Nyia Precious Chisom, an Enugu State native, who was honoured with the 2024 Construction Artisan Award in Abuja is a testament to what we are doing in this Copen Academy”, Chime added.
