The Abia State Government has warned the general public to beware of a circulating SCAM post about a ₦25,000 Christmas Cash Grant from Governor Alex Otti.
A statement signed by Citizen Ukoha Njoku Ukoha, Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Governor Otti, and made available to SummitNews, described the post as a deliberate criminal attempt to deceive and scam the unsuspecting public.
“The General Public is hereby advised to ignore the scam as the Law Enforcement Agencies have been alerted to Investigate and Apprehend the Fraudsters.
“All Social Investment, Welfare and Intervention Programmes of the Governor and Government of Abia State are published on the Official Website of Abia State Government,” the statement explained.
