Chief Gbarakoro

The Acting Paramount Ruler of Okwale community in Khana local Government area of Rivers State Chief Barikui B J Gbarakoro
has condemned the purpoted formation and inauguration of a new Community development committee chairman by Mr Friday Nkee,ee and his cohorts.

The acting paramount Ruler said that what Mr Friday did was for his personal gain not for the interest of Okwale community because according to the tradition it’s only a member of the royal family or a paramount Ruler that can constitute or a inauguration and CDC chairman which Mr NKee,ee is not

The acting paramount Ruler said that Mr Friday Nkee,ee action is a deliberate attempt to undermine the leadership and governance structure in the community.
Chief Barikui further describe the purpoted inauguration as an effort in futility,
The acting paramount Ruler reminded Mr Friday that Okwale community has traditional and culturally accepted way of forming a community development committee (CDC) which is done in the market square where the entire community is gathered not like what was done by mr Friday and his team in a secluded hall with selected few in attendance.
He said that the people of Okwale will not recognize such CDC chairman.

The acting paramount Ruler therefore called on Rivers State Governor Amaopu Senibo Siminialaye Joseph Fubara, the commissioner of police Rivers State, Director State security services,( DSS)and prominent leaders in Nyokhana to ask Mr Friday Nubari Nkee, eea and his cohorts to desist from instigating crisis in Okwale community
