Seven armed men dressed in black have kidnapped Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka, the President of the Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC). This information was released by Chilos Godsent, the President of the Igbo National Council (INC), in a statement on Sunday, February 9, 2025.
According to Godsent, the abduction occurred on Saturday evening when the assailants, arriving in a Sienna and a Lexus SUV, forcibly took Igboayaka from Works Layout in Owerri, Imo State.
The statement details, “On Saturday, February 8, 2025, around 7:00 PM, we received the troubling news that seven gunmen, dressed in black, arrived and abducted Comrade Igboayaka in a Neo Mafia Gestapo manner. Since the incident, attempts by numerous members of the OYC, family, friends, and associates to contact him have been unsuccessful as his mobile phones have been turned off since the abduction.
“In light of this situation, the Igbo National Council (INC) urges the Nigerian Police Force’s Imo State Command to take urgent action to identify the gunmen responsible for Comrade Igboayaka’s abduction and to publicly share this information.
“The INC expresses concern for Igboayaka’s followers, family, and friends, who are in distress and urgently seek to know his whereabouts.”
