ABIA state Governor Dr. Alex Otti (OFR), has expressed profound sadness over the passing away of Chief Senator Edwin Clark, chairman of Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), saying his death is a great loss to the nation.
Governor Otti in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Citizen Ukoha Njoku Ukoha, described the late Pa Clark as a nationalist who dedicated his life to the service of the country, particularly the Niger Delta region.
The statement made available to SummitNews reads:
“The Executive Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, mourns the passing of a revered elder statesman and Chairman of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), Chief (Dr.) Senator Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, CON.
“Governor Otti is deeply saddened by the demise of Pa Clark, who was a patriot and elder statesman.
“Pa Clark’s passing is a great loss to the nation and I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, the Government and people of Delta State, the Ijaw Nation, and the Federal Republic
“His contributions to the development of our nation will be remembered for generations to come,” the statement concluded.
