Muma Gee
The Afrobeat Queen of Niger Delta Muma Gee, is set for the unveiling of her new musical album titled; SHINE.
In a press briefing in Port Harcourt, the music maestro said the theme of unveiling programme is “The Shine Concert” will be held on the 9th of Match, 2025 at Villa Tusscana Hotel in Port Harcourt Rivers State capital.
Illustrating further, she opined that the upcoming musical album is a blend of Afrobeat, Calipsto, reggae and other musical genres she described as “SoundAfric” that peculiar to her style of music.
The veterans Artist claimed that she inherited storytelling from her forefathers stressing that storytelling is the blood of every African, coupled with the fact that she studied Theatre Arts. ‘The Shine Concert according to her is expected to be explosive.
Asked her while absence in the entertainment industry, she said she took a break to fulfill her destiny as a woman, promising that now that she is back, there will be no dull moment in her musical career.
“Now that I am back, I will continue to do what I know how to do best.
What you have seen before now was just rehearsal, so the best is yet to come. Thank God that I have been able to effectively combine my musical career with education,” Muma Gee contended.
Commenting on her role model in music, the magical musical Artists said she has no role model, but was rather aspired by some celebrated musicians such as, Diana Ross, Mariam Makeba and Tina Turner, amongst others.
Harped more on the “Shine concert” Muma Gee said the album is all about nature and shining, pointing out that the concert will start with retrospect of her albums and gradually progress to the current album, ‘Shine’. “The show promises to be woah!,” she stressed.
She lauded the media for their supportive role to her musical success and urged them to maintain the tempo.
