Gov. Mbah: Committed to development projects that improve the living standard of the people
The Ukehe Development Forum (UDF) has passed vote of confidence on Gov. Peter Mbah of Enugu State and the Chairman, Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area, Dr Eric Odo.
The Forum noted that the vote of confidence on both state and council leaders is for their unwavering commitment, dedication and passion for development projects and programmes that uplift the people.
This is contained in a communique signed by the UDF Patron, Dr Chudi Ezirigwe and the UDF Convener, Mr Chinedu Akwolu, on Sunday at the end of the forum interactive session on the state of Enugu State and Igbo-Etiti Council Area.
The forum expressed its satisfaction and that of entire Ukehe stakeholders, comprising of political leaders, business executives, civil servants and community elites, with Mbah and Odo sterling and people-focused performance since assumption of office.
The group promised to mobilise needed resources to support developmental initiatives of the governor and LGA boss as well as nurturing potential leaders in the community.

The forum commended the attention given to the Agu-Ukehe Road as pivotal for economic and tourism growth and called for creation of business hub in Agu-Ukehe in order to attract investment.
The group, however, appealed for speedy reconstruction of the old Enugu–Opi–Nsukka Road as well as resolution of water scarcity issue in some areas.
“The Forum reinforces commitment to embrace collective responsibility for community progress.
“We advocate for intensified efforts to combat drug abuse among youths through NDLEA intervention and community-driven awareness campaign.
“We recommend to institute periodic recognition programmes for outstanding educators, health workers and students as motivational incentives,” the communique added.
