Gov Mbah appoints 6 commissioners as Sullivan Chime’s daughter resigns

 

Enugu state Governor Dr. Peter Mbah, has approved the appointment of six persons as commissioners-nominees.

This comes amid the reported resignation of the Commissioner for Trade, Investment and Industry, Hon Adaora Chukwu.

Hon. Chukwu is the daughter of the former governor of the state, Barr Sullivan Iheanacho Chime.

A statement signed on Thursday by Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, Secretary to the State Government, listed the nominees as:

Engr. Benjamin Osita Okoh

Prof. Benedeth Ekwutosi Okoli

Eyinna Franklin Ogbonna

Dr. Samuel Ogbu-Nwobodo

Prof. George Ugwu

Ben Collins Ndu Jr.

According to Onyia, “The names have been transmitted to the Enugu State House of Assembly for confirmation.

“His Excellency, the Governor, has also approved the appointment of Dr. Godwin Anigbo, mni, as the Enugu State Head of Service.
This appointment takes effect immediately.”
