The stakeholders, executive, and members of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Oyigbo ward 4, Umuagbai Ndoki, Oyigbo Local Government Area of Rivers state, have pledged their support and loyalty to the former governor of the state, who is the current Minister, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Dr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, and Ambassador Chief Dr. Desmond Akawor.
The PDP chieftains and members who held a reconciliatory and sensitization meeting at Umuagbai Town Hall over the weekend also reaffirmed their support and loyalty to the House of Representative Member, representing Tai, Eleme, Oyigbo Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon Felix Uche Nweke.
Addressing the gathering during the meeting, Comrade Chukwumerije Nwuche who spoke on behalf of the ward stakeholders and executives commended members of PDP in Ward 4 Oyibo LGA for their steadfastness and commitment to the party.
He also commended Governor Amaopu Sir. Joseph Siminelaye Fubara, for the reconciliation, peace and unity initiatives in Rivers state.
Also addressing the mamunth crowd, Hon. Evans Nwankwo, the Chief Protocol officer to Oyigbo local government Sole Administrator, enumerated numerous political appointments and developmental projects these political leaders have attracted to the communities in ward 4, Oyigbo.
The event also witnessed the defection of members of the defunct simplified movement in the ward, led by Mr Iheanyichi Dike Umuagbai CSO.
The meeting witnessed large turnout of PDP members and in attendance were Hon. Ibeawuchi Alex PDP Chairman Oyigbo LGA, Hon. Silvanus Didanda Oyigbo Local Area PDP Secretary, Hon. Promise Nwankwo, former Rivers State House of Assembly member and Hon. Sunny Kanu, former Executive Chairman Oyigbo LGA and other prominent dignitaries.
