A prominent community leader in Nnobi, High Chief Emeka Agbanari, has extolled the virtues of the former Anambra State gubernatorial candidate, Chief Ifeanyi Okonkwo.
Agbanari who stated this on Tuesday, when he paid a courtesy call on Chief Okonkwo described him as a man who has the people dear in his heart, stressing that he has championed justice, equity and fairness of people in Nnobi and the society at large.
Chief Agbanari noted that the sternling qualities of Chief Okonkwo and his contributions to the development of Nnobi community cannot be overestimated.
“Our meeting highlights the ongoing efforts of Nnobi’s illustrious sons to drive community development”, he said.
Recall that Chief Agbanari, known for his philanthropic works, recently commissioned a 1.4km road in Nnobi and has started construction on another 1.5km road. His visit to Chief Okonkwo underscored the importance of unity in advancing community projects.
The highlight of the visit was a tour of the 1.3km road project in the community by Chief Okonkwo and High Chief Agbanari.
It was learnt that the road, initiated by Okonkwo, remains incomplete due to resource constraints. Moved by the appeal, Chief Agbanari said he would assist in completion of the project.
Chief Agbanari while recognizing the significance of the road for the community, expressed willingness to consider the request, highlighting the need for collaborative efforts to drive Nnobi’s development.
This reporter observed that the meeting of the duo showcased the commitment of Nnobi’s leaders to improving their community’s infrastructure and quality of life. Their actions inspire others to contribute to Nnobi’s growth and progress.
