Stakeholders in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State have drummed support for the re-election bid of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, in 2027.

This follows the unanimous resolution reached during a strategic stakeholders’ meeting convened yesterday in Nsukka to finalize plans for the inauguration of the Tomorrow Is Here Movement scheduled for tomorrow Saturday, February 28.

They resolved that there would be “no negotiation regarding Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s 2027 re-election bid.”

According to the leaders present, the event is expected to demonstrate the strongest show of solidarity and support ever witnessed in Nsukka Zone.

The meeting which brought together political leaders, community influencers, and grassroots mobilizers, focused on strengthening unity across the zone ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Participants emphasized that the forthcoming inauguration would serve not only as a formal launch of the movement in Nsukka Local Government but also as a declaration of unwavering support for the governor’s leadership and developmental strides in Enugu State.

Speaking after the pre-inaugural meeting, Hon. Pius Ezeugwu, member representing Nsukka East State Constituency in the Enugu State House of Assembly, said that Nsukka Zone is fully committed to rewarding Governor Mbah’s performance with overwhelming support at the polls.

He stated that the zone is prepared to deliver 99 percent of its votes in appreciation of what he described as the governor’s transformational achievements across Enugu State, particularly in Nsukka Zone.

Ezeugwu further noted that Nsukka would not repeat what he termed “Past political mistakes,” stressing that the people have carefully assessed the governor’s policies, infrastructural projects, and governance style before arriving at their decision.

He described the unity among stakeholders as unprecedented and driven by a shared vision for sustained development.
Also addressing journalists after the meeting, stakeholders reiterated that Nsukka Zone stands as one united political family with a firm and collective decision to support Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah in the 2027 elections.

They emphasized that the zone’s resolve reflects widespread grassroots consultations and consensus across communities.

Similarly, Hon. Malachi Agbo, member representing Nsukka West State Constituency in the Enugu State House of Assembly, stated that the February 28 inauguration of the Tomorrow Is Here Movement in Nsukka Local Government would be a clear indication of what to expect in the 2027 elections.

He described the event as a “tip of the iceberg,” signaling a broader wave of political support that will manifest during the general elections.
