Gov. Fubara

THE Chief Executive Officer, Portland Resort, Cedarhood Estate, off SARS Road, Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital,  Azubuike Ihemeje, has appealed to the Rivers State Governor,  His Excellency Ama opu Sir, Siminilaye Fubara, to repair the dilapidated internal roads that leads to various hotels in Port Harcourt.

Ihemeje made the appeal while responding to question from Journalists at the sideline of the 3rd edition of South South media week in Port Harcourt

“Portland Resort is the headquarters of entertainment industry in Port Harcourt, our internal road at Cedarhood Estate, off SARS road, Port Harcourt is totally in disrepair, high in delapidated state. We are pleading to Governor Fubara to come to our aid and fix our internal roads. Hospitality industry is part of the components that contributes hugely to the internally generated revenue (IGR) of the state and by extension contributes to the economy of the largely”.

Ihemeje who is Legal practitioner diversified as renouned social and new media influencer. He was one of the guests/resource person at 3rd edition of South South media week harped on the essence of the the south south media week.

“Am here for South South media week where we talked about leadership and challenges about our business, brainstorm and synergize in our businesses. Portland Resort hotel am managing is the headquarters of entertainer industry in Rivers state. The essence is without the media you will not know whether the hospitality industries exists, it’s the media that projects it. So anything that has to do with the media I embrace it, because it has all the visibility.

I also talked about how to manage bad reviews, how to manage damage control. Sometimes it could be bad and defamatory in nature. You don’t go about escalating making those who have not heard about it to hear. What you do is to approach it with a lot of tactics and circumspect and shrewd. I have a whole lot of personal experience from to give”, he reiterated.

Ihemeje responding to questions at the interview with journalists.

Again, consistency is key to life, consistency in that thing that drives you to continue to do more. Consistency is the courage to continue to push forward. For example in social media if you post anything and it doesn’t get to your desired anticipation, you don’t need to be discouraged and get worn-out that it didn’t get to the people or other customers. The more you push the more gather more clarity on that issue”.

The social and new media should not be abandoned to the younger generation. I advise the old generation to embrace the new to be part of the trend of life, because without it you are doing nothing, and the younger generation are taking over everything thing. The traditional media practitioners should learn the new media, understand the psychology, understand the dynamic and blend with the traditional media because it is the core principles and fundamentals; we move on.” Ihemeje contended.
