The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, psc (+), has congratulated Muslims in the State, as they join the ummah to mark this year’s Eid-El-Kabir, describing the festival, which is centred on sacrifice, as essential in these difficult times. Hence, he urges the Muslim faithful to use the opportunity of the festival to make sacrifices of love and peace for the security and prosperity of Enugu State.
The Commissioner assures that adequate security has been put in place for a peaceful observance and celebration of the season. This is even as he orders Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), and Heads of Tactical and Operational Squads to ensure visibility patrol and the prevention of acts of crime and criminality in their areas of responsibility.
Meanwhile, the Muslim faithful and the rest of the citizens of Enugu State have been encouraged to remain vigilant, law-abiding, and promptly report criminals and their activities to the nearest police station.
