The Rector, Federal Polytechnic, Oko, in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra state, Dr. Mrs. Chioma Irene Awuzie, recently celebrated the first 100 days of her appointment by President Bola Tinubu, as the substantive Rector of one of the country’s reputable institutions of higher learning.

The celebration featured the commissioning of landmark projects executed by Dr. Awuzie’s administration within the first 100 days of her assumption of office.

The projects included but not limited to a modern and fully equipped staff sports club and guest house, expanded and renovated Oko Poly Press, reactivated Poly bakery and confectionery, and the Senator Barnabas Gemade Geological Technology Department and Office.

Other events were a free medical outreach to the host community Oko, the legendary home town of late former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Alex Ekwueme, and a Thanksgiving Service, attended by high-heeled members of the academic community within and outside Anambra, captains of industry, traditional rulers, management, staff and students of the institution.
