Thursday, December 4th, 2025 was a memorable and historic date for Anmak Natural Medicine Academy (ANMA) Port Harcourt, when it inducted 17 Students, and graduated 20 graduates.
Anmak Natural Medicine Academy is an affiliate of West African Post Graduate College of Natural and Integrative Medicine (WAPGCHIM).
Addressing the students, the founder of Anmak Natural Medicine Academy, Professor (Amb.) Anastasia Ndidiamaka Akpebe congratulated the graduating students for their tireless efforts to acquire knowledge.
She admonished them to remain committed to their passion in natural medicine.
“I urge you to remain committed to your passion for natural medicine.
Remember that the journey to becoming a skilled practitioner is a lifelong process.
“Continue to learn, grow and innovate, and always remain humble and compassionate, “Prof. Akpebe said.
Dr. Anastasia Akpebe a Professor of Natural Medicine; a Naturalist and an Acupuncturist. She specializes on Musculoskeletal manipulations and integrative natural health is also the Chief Executive Officer and Medical Director, Anmak Health Services Port Harcourt commended the management and lecturers of Anmak for their tireless efforts in shaping the minds of the students while their studies lasted.
In his keynote address, the Mayor of Housing, My-Ace China thanked the Anmak Natural Medicine Academy management for the invitation, describing it as a privilege to the celebration of knowledge and cultivation of healers, who will serve humanity with skill, compassion and integrity.
The guest speaker noted that before the advent of modern hospitals and pharmaceuticals, our ancestors relied on the gift of nature, which he said are herbs, roots, leafs, minerals and spiritual practices to maintain health and treat illnesses.
He pointed out that natural medicines’ evolution reflects humanity desire to harmonize with the environment.
My-Ace China said that with the antibiotic resistance today, natural medicine offers a unique pathway to sustainable, ethical and effective solution to myriad of ailments confronting humanity.
He lauded Anmak Academy for producing capable and inspired graduates.
In his address, the Provost of West African Post Graduate College of Natural and Integrative Medicine, Professor Adedamola Bandages, who spoke on “The Journey of Natural Medicine in Nigeria”, stressed that embracing traditional and modern science, natural medicine not only preserves the wisdom of the past, but offers sustainable solutions for the health challenges of the future.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Organising committee Chairman and Anmak Registrar, Dr. Ibulubo Tamuno-Opirisiki said the event marks not only academic excellence, but reaffirmation of reviving and preserving as well advancing the divine heritage of natural medicine.

In a chat with newsmen at sidelines of the event, Callista Divine-Uchenna Ifediba one of the graduating student who also bagged an award. Thanked God Almighty for leading her to Anmak Natural Medicine Academy, stating that her health and the her family members is far healthier and happy.
